Get to Know Me

Jodi Scholes, a certified massage therapist since 1994, is a teacher, a coach and a public speaker.

Board Certified by NCBTMB, Ms Scholes teaches approved CE courses on various subjects including sports massage, medically based massage treatments as well as classes on the ethical practice of massage. In her Online Learning Center, Jodi teaches students how to pass the national exam called the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx). She is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert developing massage curriculum and translating that to online classes.

Ms. Scholes coaches advancing entrepreneurs who own massage clinics. Together they create systems leading to new processes that save time and money producing better results. This allows owners to work less, earn more and get back their sanity.

Jodi speaks regularly at conferences and conventions to massage therapists and educators on topics such as A Massage Therapists Guide to Cannabis, the Research, Risks and Rewards. She offers classes to massage clinics on how to safely add CBD treatments to the menu of items. She shares with public audiences her signature talk, "Your Pain Tells A Story". She plans to give a TedX Talk in 2019.

From 1994-2004 Jodi was the official massage therapist of DC United, Major League Soccer. Jodi supported US athletes doing massage for the World Championships of Track & Field in Helsinki, Finland 2007 and Osaka, Japan 2009. She has worked many US Championships in Track & Field enjoying venues in Los Angeles, California; Indianapolis, Indiana and in Eugene, Oregon.

Ms Scholes is active in her community. In 2011, Jodi received Outstanding Member Award by the VA Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. In 2017 she was honored with Rotarian of the Year, an award from her Vienna Virginia Rotary Club.

Jodi continues to do massage maintaining a small private practice. Her bodywork focuses on eliminating pain and improving performance in athletes. At last count, she has logged approximately 20,000 hours of hands-on work. She spends her time between New Hampshire, Virginia and Florida, is an amateur triathlete and enjoys watching the Food Network, Soccer and American Football.
